From that I think you have some pictures you want to turn into 3D. If you only have 1 picture of each scene/object it is very hard to make it 3D, you'll need photoshop (or equivalent) a lot of expertise, and you must mess with the red-blue layer of the picture. You can make parts of the picture "pop out" of the rest this way fairly easy, but to make a complete 3D image like the b/w lizard you mentioned you'll need the 2 pictures (explained below), making something like that from 1 picture is extremely hard, and will never look like the real thing. So if you have only 1 picture I recommend shooting them again if possible. Can you tell what pictures do you plan to turn into 3D? (Oh, sweet curiosity.)
The method I use requires 2 pictures of the same scene/object, one from each eye's view:
You'll need to make two pictures. It is the more crutial part of the whole process, because if your pictures are not aligned well you can't make an enjoyable anaglyph from them. You make one picture, then move the photographer/camera a little sideways, and rotate it slightly, then make another picture. It is a good thing if you repeat it 2 or 3 times, so when you import the pictures to the 3D anaglyph program you'll have more pictures to choose from. I'll send the originals of the 3D lizard picture later if you want to try it.
I use 3D ana maker (Anaglyph maker 1.08 version), ([link])
because it's easy to use and freeware. After you copy the pictures to the computer you can import them to the program, the left picture to the left, the right one to the right, and click on "make 3D image" button. After it you must align the two pictures vertically, and then get your 3D glasses on and set the horizontal distance between the two pictures. If you can't see the 3D image after aligning, or if the 3D effect is messed up try changing the left/righ picture (it happened to me sometimes I forgot which was which) By setting the horizontal distance you can change how close/far you want the object to be from the plain of the monitor. The more the picture is on the left the closer the object will be to you. Beware, if the pictures are too far it will be harder for the eyes to stare at the picture. Also, if the pictures are a little rotated, or not aligned perfectly the 3D effect will be again uneasy to stare at making it unenjoyable. I myself have only 1 picture that is perfectly aligned, the "depth and flower anaglyph 3D" one. (It is the only one that is easy to watch in the original resolution in every part.)
After you aligned the images click on save and export. But before that I recommend setting contrast a bit higher, for more dramatic outcome and easier viewing.
Coloured 3D images looks cool, but if you have anything blue or red on your picture, like I had with the lizard originals (A red heating lamp was next to the lizard) the colours mess up the 3D effect and can only be enjoyable in black and white. Hope I helped and good luck with the project!
As you said, having 2 pictures is the most important part. Also I have found only one single page that talks also about "Tables of Minimum Separation Distance"... So... Focal distance, Separation distance and Object Distance is also "very" important.
Here is the link to the page:

Have a look, maby so you can make more 3D pictures succesfully in the first 2 shots.
About my work, I want to do a critical-social theme, about goverments manipulations, human brain influences that sometimes make change one-self... I´m still doing the theory for the proyect... By the way... sorry for my english, its not very good... I hope only it is understandable for you.
The pictures, I´m not really sure right now, cause I want to figure out 1st how to make a perfect 3D effect picture, like your Lizard... I put on the glasses I have red/blue(cyan) and when I move just only a bit to left or right, its seems like the lizard moves, too. Its an impression like you can really look around it.
Simply, awesome! So I want to make some photomanipulations for example: A human getting out of a mirror, or, a human arm getting out of a back of an other... and this manipulatioin + 3D effect = A never seen proyect-presentation in my school.
I´ll still trying to make it... thanks for your info, I will mention you as well in my presentation for you support. We´ll be in contact and I hope the link I sended you can help you, too.
Take care!
